1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
This Privacy Policy governs the collection and processing of data within the framework of an anonymous survey conducted by the NGO “Foundation for Democracy Assistance” (hereinafter “we,” “the Foundation”) through the Tally.so platform.
Purpose of the survey: To study public attitudes toward mobilization in order to develop a fair military service model with a rotational principle.
The questionnaire was created by the NGO “Foundation for Democracy Assistance” with the support of the Askold and Dir Foundation, administered by ISAR Ednannia within the framework of the project “Strong Civil Society of Ukraine – Driver of Reforms and Democracy” funded by Norway and Sweden. The content of the questionnaire is the responsibility of the NGO “Foundation for Democracy Assistance” and does not reflect the views of the governments of Norway, Sweden, or ISAR Ednannia.
2. PRINCIPLES OF ANONYMITY
This survey is completely anonymous. We have taken the following measures:
Technical settings:
- ❌ We DO NOT collect IP addresses
- ❌ We DO NOT collect device information
- ❌ We DO NOT use cookies for identification
- ❌ We DO NOT require registration or login
- ❌ We DO NOT collect email addresses (except when voluntarily provided for interviews)
Data collection platform:
- Tally.so is used (hosted in the EU)
3. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
3.1 Survey data (anonymous):
- Responses to questionnaire questions
- Socio-demographic characteristics (age, gender, region – WITHOUT linkage to individuals)
- Opinions and assessments regarding mobilization
- Form completion time (without identification)
- Device type (mobile/desktop) in aggregated form
3.2 Additional data (with your consent):
- Contact for interview – ONLY if you voluntarily agree (questions 52-53)
- Contacts are collected SEPARATELY from the main questionnaire
- Used exclusively for invitations to anonymous interviews
3.3 Data we DO NOT collect:
- Last name and full name
- Exact residential address
- Passport data
- Phone number (except when voluntarily provided)
- Email (except when voluntarily provided)
- IP address
- Geolocation
- Detailed device information
- Passwords
- Payment data and other personal information
4. PURPOSE OF DATA USE
The collected data is used exclusively for:
- Analytics: Creating aggregated statistics on public attitudes
- Reform development: Formulating proposals for a military service model
- Public report: Publishing aggregated results
- Advocacy: Transmitting recommendations to government authorities
IMPORTANT: Data is ALWAYS presented in aggregated form without the possibility of identifying individual respondents.
5. WITH WHOM WE SHARE DATA
5.1 Aggregated results (public):
- Government authorities (Ministry of Defense, General Staff, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine)
- The public through a public report
- Media for coverage of results
- Project partners
5.2 Primary data (anonymized):
- May be shared with independent researchers for verification
- Project donors for reporting purposes (without personal data)
5.3 We NEVER share:
- Individual responses with the possibility of identification
- Contact details of interview participants
- Any data with law enforcement agencies for the purpose of identifying respondents
6. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
- Storage period: 3 years from the date of collection
- Storage location: Tally.so servers in the EU + backup copies
- Protection: Encryption, restricted access, two-factor authentication
- Deletion: Automatic after the expiration of the period or upon request
7. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- ✅ Discontinue participation in the survey at any time
- ✅ Decline to answer individual questions
- ✅ Refuse to participate in an interview
- ✅ Request deletion of your responses (if you can identify them)
- ✅ Receive a copy of the aggregated results
8. ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ANONYMITY
For maximum protection, we recommend:
- Using a VPN
- Enabling private browsing mode
- Not providing your real name (a pseudonym is acceptable)
- Being cautious with unique details
9. COOKIES AND TRACKING
- Tally.so may use technical cookies for form functionality
- These cookies are NOT used for identification
- You can disable cookies in your browser

IMPORTANT: Participation in the survey is completely voluntary. You may discontinue completing the questionnaire at any time without providing a reason.
