A research and analysis group established in 2022 as a response to Russia’s full-scale information warfare. The team monitors hostile narratives on a daily basis, conducts OSINT research, and creates analytical and educational content. InfoLight.UA cooperates with the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine and uses AI tools to detect disinformation.

About the project

InfoLight.UA is a research and analytical group established in 2022 as a response to Russia’s full-scale information aggression against Ukraine. The project is implemented by the NGO “Foundation for Promotion of Democracy” with the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine.

The team monitors the information space on a daily basis, identifies hostile narratives, conducts OSINT research, and creates analytical, investigative, and educational content. InfoLight.UA cooperates with the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine, providing expert support in the field of information security.

In 2024, InfoLight.UA introduced innovative AI tools to detect disinformation in partnership with the Osavul platform. The initiative “Strengthening the Voice of Frontline Media” was also launched, a project to support independent local media from the de-occupied and frontline territories through free publication of their content on a special aggregator.

In 2025, the team presented the results of a unique study of psychological resilience, trust and social cohesion of Ukrainians, as well as an analytical study “The Russian Expansion Machine: Doctrinal, Information and Foreign Policy Aspects”.
